Syngene is a division of the Synoptics Group, founded in 1985 by imaging experts from the University of Cambridge. At Syngene People live and breathe image analysis because products specifically for gel documentation and fluorescence/chemiluminescence imaging are all they have ever focused on. That’s why Syngene has developed systems specifically designed to enhance your imaging experience.

Gel documentation systems

Imaging DNA and protein gels

For analysing DNA , RNA and Proteins routinely in your lab, having a great gel doc (gel documentation) system is critical.

By choosing Syngene’s InGenius3, NuGenius, NuGenius+ or G:BOX F3 imagers you can do all this and more. With application-driven touch screen software, slide-out UV and blue transilluminators, as well as white light options, you’ll easily have accurate fluorescent and visible gel images in seconds.

Chemiluminescence & Fluorescence systems

Imaging multiplex protein blots

Chemiluminescent Westerns are a popular choice for detecting proteins but when you need a quantitative comparison between proteins or you want to detect multiple proteins, fluorescent Westerns are the method of choice.

With a
G:BOX Chemi XRQ system you can detect up to three proteins simultaneously on your Western blots using fluorescent dyes such as Alexa Fluor®, IRDye® and DyLight®. If you need a compact multiplexing imager, the G:BOX mini 6 and G:BOX mini 9 are perfect and for the most flexibility with IR, RGB detection and for 2D gel imaging, choose a G:BOX Chemi XX6 or G:BOX Chemi XX9.

PCR workstations

Syngene offers two types of PCR workstations, both standard with UVTect™ microprocessor controller, that aid the researcher by preventing background and cross-contamination. The Combination PCR workstation combines an ISO 5 clean air environment with UV light sterilization for optimal protection from background sample contamination. The Dead Air box provides a circulation free environment with UV light sterilization.

Electrophoresis systems

Horizontal and vertical electrophoresis.

Syngene’s gel electrophoresis units have been designed by scientists with the laboratory environment in mind. Our horizontal and vertical electrophoresis tanks provide an easy to use and flexible platform for all your electrophoresis requirements.

Horizontal electrophoresis.

Our horizontal gel units offer the most versatile solution for DNA and RNA agarose gel electrophoresis currently on the market. The SynMini, SynMidi, SynChoice and SynMaxi all offer an unsurpassed combination of gel and buffer volume, with gel size and sample number versatility.

vertical electrophoresis

Syngene’s vertical electrophoresis systems – complete with tanks, inserts and reagents – fulfil a variety of applications and techniques in different gel sizes and throughputs. The SynPage range of systems is ideal for running precast or handcast polyacrylamide gels for SDS-PAGE or Native PAGE. Each gel tank system includes a leak free casting option to cast your own polyacrylamide gels.

Powers Packs

The SYNpowerpro 300 is a versatile multi-function power supply suitable for a wide range of electrophoresis applications. At 300V, 700mA and 150W the SYNpowerpro 300 has nearly twice the current and power of the market leading equivalent unit. Perfectly suited for use with Syngene’s SynMini, SynMidi, SynChoice, SynMaxi range of horizontal electrophoresis systems and SynPAGE Mini vertical electrophoresis systems.

The SYNnanoPAC-500P user- friendly interface is easily adjustable in 1V and 1mA increments, making it perfect for separations where precise settings are required. Its ultra compact size and two pairs of parallel power terminals, which can run two electrophoresis units simultaneously, save time and bench space.

Blotters

These Semi Dry Blotters offer rapid transfer times for DNA, RNA and protein blotting typically 15 to 30 minutes. All units can be used for all types of blotting: Western, Southern and Northern via uncomplicated buffer and set up procedures and are compatible with gel thicknesses from 0.25 up to 10mm without the need for additional equipment. Each unit is compatible with their respective SynPAGE vertical gel system.
